Our Vision

Aruka is a Christian organisation that seeks to provide long-term, person-centred recovery support for men and women experiencing drug and alcohol addiction in North Lanarkshire. We seek to do this through three main channels.

Rehab Pathways

By developing teams of male and female ‘rehab pathways’ workers across North Lanarkshire who will support people in addiction to find clear pathways into the most appropriate residential rehab programs. Our services will include 1-2-1 key working, therapeutic group work, advocacy support, rehab referrals and aftercare.

Residential Recovery Homes

Our vision also includes providing holistic, faith-based residential recovery support for both men and women affected by drug and alcohol addiction. We will offer a fully residential, trauma-informed service with key- working, therapeutic group work, counselling, education, training, work experience and aftercare.

Social Enterprises

We aim to provide various employment opportunities and aftercare for those exiting rehab. We will provide a supportive, community environment where participants can engage in 18-month internships in order to learn employment skills, gain experience and receive support towards accessing further employment and training.
